GDPR and Privacy notices
As you may be aware, the General Data Protection Regulations (GPDR) came into effect on Friday 25th May and replaced the Data Protection Act 1998.
These new regulations set out our legal duties in relation to instances where we collect, store or process personal data belonging to you or your child and also provides details of your individual rights in such instances.
In the majority of instances where we collect, store or process personal data this is necessary for us to effectively perform our function as a school or to ensure your child’s safety. There are, however, some additional instances where we use this information to provide services and/or support other elements of the School’s operation for which we have previously taken your consent (e.g. Use of photographs containing your child within displays/published materials, use of Biometrics to access our cashless payments system, marketing preferences, etc).
Please be aware that the introduction of these new regulations will not affect any consent/lack of consent you have previously indicated in relation to these discretionary uses and the School will continue to operate on the basis of the preferences you have indicated unless we are informed of any change to your consent. If you would like to make any changes to your consent in relation to these uses, therefore, please contact the school reception on 0208 4983340 or via school@bremer.waltham.sch.uk.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school reception if you require any further information regarding this matter.
