As part of our Career Development Programme, Mrs Seymour founded the Frederick Bremer Pop-Up Café in 2023, providing our Year 10 AND students with valuable work experience to help them gain confidence and skills in the hospitality industry. Now in its second year, the Pop-Up Café saw our students work incredibly hard in preparation for launch day. They designed the menu, created advertisements, and set up the café for customers. The Bremer Café was open for one week only, from 16th July to 19th July, welcoming invited guests, parents and carers, and staff.
Our students served a variety of wonderful cakes and drinks, including milkshakes, coffee, and more! Here are some highlights from the week:
- Bradley recommended trying the Trillionaire Tart with a chocolate milkshake.
- Olivia shared that the milkshakes and cheesecake with raspberry drizzle were particularly popular: “Today was day 2 of the pop-up café and we served lots of good treats. Everyone loved it so much people came back for round 2!”
- Santhujan and Suji added, “Our chocolate milkshake and Victoria sponge have been really popular menu items so far.”
- Tilly reflected on the experience: “Today was the final day of the pop-up café. We celebrated our hard but enjoyable week of work. A big thank you to all the staff for making the experience feel more special!”
Thank you to everyone who supported the Frederick Bremer Pop-Up Café and helped make it a fantastic week!
